roses and candy
rubies and pearls
all of the diamonds
in all of the world
could never compare
to that glorious time
when I looked in Your eyes
and said "Will you be Mine?"

You smiled and said "Yes!
I'm so glad that you asked!"
your arms wrapped around me
and I felt whole at last
in the warmth of your presence
the love of my life
my original Valentine
